My Unseen Me
Self-portraits · The parts I resist
These self-portraits confront elements of myself I find difficult to acknowledge: vanity, trauma, rage, loss and pain. The theatrical elements give form to that resistance and to the ways it can distort how I see myself. The work asks what happens when the image I maintain of myself can no longer contain what I keep out of view.
